Canteen
This year the canteen at Heathmont College will be fully compliant with the current Government Guidelines for Healthy Eating.
The new menu illustrates the range of healthy food available. There have been quite a few price rises across the board. The various reasons include drought, water shortages and inflation. Canteen management has tried to maintain as many prices as possible, especially in the Green section of the menu and regret being forced to pass on these increases. The current pricing on the menu will be maintained as long as possible.
A basic salad sandwich: lettuce, tomato, cucumber and carrot is a very affordable $2.50 this year in order to provide students with a nutritious lunch at a minimal price.
A variety of healthy specials will be advertised regularly via the college bulletins. These will enable all students to choose a healthy lunch at a very reasonable price and offer the opportunity to explore new taste sensations.
Please be aware that every item on the menu will not be available every day. We will rotate some of these items on a daily basis depending upon demand. Lunch orders may be placed before school to ensure that students do not miss out on advertised specials.
Heathmont College has been working cooperatively with our Canteen proprietors S’Coolways, on a healthy food plan for our students. Attached is the new and exciting menu available this term.
