Heathmont College students recently participated in the state-wide Indonesian Speaking competition organised by VILTA, the University of Melbourne and DET.  Despite a close competition, we are pleased to announce that our students did very well and 7 students represented the Eastern region in the finals at the University of Melbourne.
We especially wish to congratulate Rhiannon Turner for securing the prestigious 1st place for the state, Lucky Bisht for coming out 2nd in the year 7 category and Chloe Connell for securing 2nd place in the year 8 advance category for the state.
These two students will be receiving their awards from the Indonesian Consulate General at the Awards Ceremony to be held at the University of Melbourne on Friday 22nd June. We are very proud of all students who participated in the Sayembara competition and we look forward to representing the college next year.
