By Sienna Lomagno

On Friday, September 15, 2023 (Last day of Term 3) Heathmont College will run a Colour Explosion Fun Run. This is a fundraising event, and we aim to raise money to be spent on fixed seating for our outdoor sports facilities. Participation in the event will provide funds for the purchase and installation of fixed seating. The money raised will be added to the total raised in 2022.
The cost of the event covers entry, a white shirt to wear for colour explosion and a contribution to the fixed seating.

The event will be held at lunch time and throughout Period 5.  A sausage sizzle will also be available for students to purchase sausages in bread for an additional cost of $2:50. A Compass Event will allow students to register and pay for the event.  Should be an enjoyable afternoon to celebrate Term 3.  I know Frances is looking forward to it.

It is important to understand that the dye used in the Colour Explosion Fun Run will stain.  It is recommended that students wear older shorts and shoes.

Acknowledgement of Country

Heathmont College acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the Lands that we are privileged to walk upon and learn on each day, which is the land of the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation.  We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, who are our knowledge holders, story keepers and teachers. We thank them for looking after the land, sky and waterways, so we all can enjoy them, and so too can the generations to come. We recognise the special contributions of First Nations peoples and cultures, that enrich and shape the cultural identity of this nation.
