xperiences. This includes route planning\, tent-site selection\, fuel stov

opportunity to meet their required hours in the outdoors. \n Please note that State School Bonus (Acti
vities credit or CSEF credit) can be used towards the cost of this Event.

DESCRIPTION:In Term 2 Humanities students are continuing to study Geography
with their next topic being ‘Water in the World’. Throughout this unit st
udents are studying how we use water\, issues of water scarcity and the im
portance of protecting water resources. Alongside this\, students are begi
nning to develop essential skills for Geography including mapping\, field
sketches and creating and interpreting data. These skills are cross curric
ular and are essential to the Humanities\, Science and Mathematics curricu
lum.\nData collected during this fieldtrip will be utilised as part of the
ir second Common Assessment Task (CAT) for Humanities. Students will meet
their teacher at the Year 7 locker bay at the start of Period 3 and then w
ill walk to Dandenong Creek as a group. Students will use the walking trac
k beside Dandenong Creek (Knox side) to HE Parker Reserve to collect their
data. They should bring their lunch\, a drink bottle\, a hat and wear sun
glasses and sunscreen. Umbrellas and raincoats will be required if rain is
forecast. Students will also need a pencil\, a pen and a clipboard. Stude

In Term 2 Humanities students are continuing to study Geography with their
next topic being ‘Water in the World’. Throughout this unit students are
studying how we use water\, issues of water scarcity and the importance of
protecting water resources. Alongside this\, students are beginning to de
velop essential skills for Geography including mapping\, field sketches an
d creating and interpreting data. These skills are cross curricular and ar
e essential to the Humanities\, Science and Mathematics curriculum.

ected during this fieldtrip will be utilised as part of their second Commo
n Assessment Task (CAT) for Humanities. Students will meet their
teacher at the Year 7 locker bay at the start of Period 3 and then will wa
lk to Dandenong Creek as a group. Students will use the walking track besi
de Dandenong Creek (Knox side) to HE Parker Reserve to collect their data.
They should bring their lunch\, a drink bottle\, a hat and wear sunglasse
s and sunscreen. Umbrellas and raincoats will be required if rain is forec
ast. Students will also need a pencil\, a pen and a clipboard. Students wi
ll then return to school for a 3pm dismissal\, as usual\, on the Maroondah
side of the creek\, again walking along the path. Students must not enter
the water or move outside of the immediate vicinity away from staff at an
