As part of our Languages program, we are committed to provide students with a range of language and cultural experiences. Year 8 Indonesian students are invited to participate in a lunch excursion to Melati Indonesian restaurant to savour the various Indonesian dishes, cakes, snacks, desserts and drinks.
The first Melati restaurant was opened in 1950s in Bali by chef Ni Ketut. Following in her mother’s footsteps, Listiana opened another Melati Restaurant in Melbourne, providing an authentic experience to taste the delicious cuisine created with the ingenuity and passion inspired by the fantastic flavours of Indonesia.
At Melati”s, students will immerse themselves in an authentic Indonesian ambience, its cuisine, murals and songs. Students will also be able to interact with the staff in traditional costumes and describe the tastes of the various foods.
If you wish your child to participate in this event, please provide consent and payment on Compass. If there are more places, other Indonesian students will be invited to participate.
