1000 Steps National Park
In Term 3 students will be studying the topic of Landforms, focussing specifically on mountains and volcanoes. A key component of the Geography curriculum is field experience. During this excursion students will participate in a range of activities that examine the biodiversity and management of the 1000 Steps National Parks. Students will also complete the 1000 Steps Walk.
Students will be getting public transport from Heathmont Station to Upper Ferntree Gully Station and then walking to the national park. Students will be expected to be wearing full school uniform but be mindful that majority of the excursion will be outside.
Students will need to bring a myki, drink bottle and pen/pencil, students will be able to purchase food during the excursion. |
