11 Years 10, 11 and 12 A culture of excellence, discipline and collaboration is further embedded in the senior school given the supportive and stimulating learning contexts provided through our Year 10, VCE, VET and VCAL* programs. High-achieving Year 12 students can also apply to undertake a first year university subject through the University Enhancement Program. Our professional, caring teachers continue to promote holistic learning and emotional wellbeing. They are increasingly mentors and coaches, supporting learning as students develop independence, resourcefulness and ownership over their learning. Extensive course counselling supports students in choosing pathways and units of study suited to their academic ability, aptitude, interests and aspirations. This empowers students and ensures they maximise their post-school options. Our graduates pursue learning at university and TAFE, through traineeships and apprenticeships. Year 10 students have increased subject choice and the opportunity to take a range of VCE and VET units. Our Year 12 students are based in the Year 12 Centre, an adult learning environment that facilitates staff and student collaboration. They can access the space before, during and after school hours. * VCE – Victorian Certificate of Education VET – Vocational Education Training VCAL – Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning Engage Program The Engage Program is designed to build on the 9LiFE Program whilst also providing senior students to have meaningful practical learning opportunities. The activities are chosen by students each Term and run once per fortnight over the course of the year.
