This elective program is designed to equip students with industry-recognised hospitality skills, real-world experience, and the confidence to transition into employment or further training. Through a combination of accredited Food Safety certification, barista training, and authentic live service experiences, students develop technical expertise alongside essential transferable capabilities such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. By engaging in structured placements and culminating in a student-led public café event, learners operate as emerging professionals in a real hospitality environment, planning, producing, and delivering a complete service experience. Upon successful completion, students earn a Hospitality Foundations Microcredential and graduate with the practical skills, industry awareness, and workplace readiness required to confidently pursue opportunities within the food service industry and beyond. |
