VCE OES students will be taking part in a day trip to Warburton and surroundings. Students will be taking part in a mountain bike activity as well as a conservation activity.

Year 11 students will be utilising the outdoor environment to gain understanding for their upcoming SAC. This excursion will draw on the following key knowledge points: 

  • Factors that affect access to experiencing outdoor environments, including socioeconomic status, cultural background, age, gender and physical ability
  • Relevant technologies and their influences on outdoor experiences

Year 12 students will be utilising the outdoor environment to gain understanding for their upcoming SAC. This excursion will draw on the following key knowledge points:

  • Conservation, recreation and economic relationships with outdoor environments
  • Establishment of new mountain bike parks environmental conflict 

Students will be required to meet at Heathmont College at 8.30am and will return by 4pm. Students have been asked to wear appropriate clothing for an OE trip (keep in mind comfort, the weather conditions and the activity). There will be time to purchase lunch for those wanting – otherwise students can bring their own snacks, lunch and water.
