In class, students have created surveys on a city themed social issue and will be surveying members of the public to collect data that will inform their presentations that they will develop following this excursion. Students will be required to stay in their groups for the duration of the activity and will check in with staff throughout the day. Students will conduct their surveys at a range of city locations, likely to include Fed Square, Bourke Street Mall, Melbourne Central and Southern Cross Station and surrounding locations. |
Students need to meet at Heathmont Station by 8:35am for an 8:51am train. Students will be dismissed when the train arrives at Ringwood Station (scheduled to arrive at 3:01pm). Students should bring a charged mobile phone to support them with navigation, completing their surveys and for communicating with staff via the school mobile phone. Students will have the opportunity to purchase food/drink (with their own money) during this excursion. Students need a Youth Myki card to catch public transport. Students must touch on/touch off whilst catching public transport. If students are seen not using public transport correctly, they may be banned from future excursions. |
