A police representation from the Knox Proactive Policing Unit will conduct a presentation about safety issues in the workplace including drugs and alcohol, bullying and securing your tools and where to report matters of this nature.
Classroom based learning tasks will link to the details in the presentation providing students with the opportunity to meet key competencies in the learning sequence for Literacy and Work-Related Skills.

PE is a subject that recognises that learning in and through movement is a valued way of knowing. Participation in this group fitness class provides students the opportunity to connect theory to practical situations, specifically relating to Unit 1 – Area of Study 1 How does the musculoskeletal system work to produce movement?. As a part of Unit 1-4 Physical Education, students are required to maintain a reflective folio of completed activities as a source of primary data, this group fitness session is an activity that can be added to this folio. |

As part of the Career Insights program, Year 9 students have the opportunity to create a careers profile using an online career discovery tool supported by the Department of Education and Training. The service is designed to help students make informed choices about subject selection, vocational education and training, senior secondary school certificates and further study. Your child will complete a series of questions and quizzes at school. This will be followed by a 30 minute meeting with an accredited career advisor who will explain the results. Consent needs to be provided by the attached form, there are 3 Options to choose from: Options 1 – Opt In – Your child will complete the Morrisby Profiling and then a 1:1 interview with a career advisor. |

Students will need their own Myki card to catch the train. Students MUST travel tap on and students seen fare evading will likely be banned from future city excursions. Students will have limited access to food outlets earlier in the day but will have the ability to buy food later in the day if they choose to. Students should bring a drink bottle with them. Students will be dismissed when the train arrives at Ringwood Station (scheduled to arrive at 3:01pm). |
