To celebrate the classes achievements throughout the year. Students will be expected to pay for their food and drinks. This is a non-alcohol event. |
This day will comprise two main parts. Firstly, students will attend the Melbourne Skydeck at Eureka Tower to see a view of Melbourne that is unrivalled. Before our time at the Melbourne Skydeck, students will have a small amount of self directed time where they will be required to stay in small groups and can experience aspects of the City of Melbourne. Students will be able to communicate with staff via mobile phone during this section of the excursion. Following our time at Eureka Tower, students and staff will travel together to the Royal Botanical Gardens for our rescheduled Connecting to Country tour. |
Students need to meet at Heathmont Station by 8:35am (to catch an 8:51am train). There is some possibility that we may be slightly later coming home than this depending on how quickly we get from the Botanical Gardens to Richmond Station. Students will have the opportunity to purchase food/drink (with their own money) during this excursion, but choices may be limited. Students are encouraged to bring some food/drink with them. Students MUST have a valid Myki card and MUST touch on/touch off while using public transport. If students are seen not using public transport correctly, they may be banned from future excursions. |
9LiFE OE students will meet at Heathmont Station at 8.40am and will catch a train into Flinders Street. Students and staff will then walk to the Sea Life Aquarium for a 2 hour tour. After this, students will take part in an Orienteering course around the CBD. Students will be working in small groups and will need to check-in with staff members regularly via the school phone. Staff members will also be at check-points to touch base with student. Students are asked to bring with them a water bottle, snacks, a valid MYKI with funds to travel into the CBD. If students are found fare evading will likely be banned from future 9life excursions. Students are to wear Heathmont College sports uniform. Students will be dismissed from Ringwood Station at 3pm.
