LRC – State Library Tour (World of the Book) @ State Library of Victoria
Oct 15 @ 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Students will travel by train to visit the iconic State Library of Victoria and participate in a range of exhibitions on offer. They will be invited to select a book from a local bookstore to add to our school library collection. Students will be required to bring their own MYKI for travel purposes and will have the option to buy or bring their own lunch/snacks. If students elect to purchase lunch they will need to bring their own money. We recommend bringing a backpack with water bottle and additional clothing to suit the weather (eg. rain jacket, umbrella, hat, sunscreen)

Welcome to the Library trail

Explore Australia’s oldest and busiest public library. Students will navigate our vast spaces and discover how libraries contribute to our community and how State Library Victoria collects and cares for all our stories.

Library services and collections trail

Students will navigate our vast spaces and find out about our services and how they can use the library as a hub for research and learning.
