We would like to invite you to our Senior Subject and Program Information Evening. During this session we will outline the two Senior School programs we offer (VCE and VCE-Vocational Major), the subjects on offer within each program for 2026-2025 and the selection process.
We strongly encourage students to attend this event with their parents and guardians as there will be a lot of information presented and opportunities to ask questions of the relevant staff members.

Leading Teacher- Careers and Pathways
Students will criss-cross the city and the surrounding area solving a series of puzzles, travelling on a mix of public transport and walking to reach their destinations. Students will be required to stay in small groups and will need to communicate with staff regularly via the school mobile phone. |
Students will meet at Heathmont Station by 8:35am (for an 8:51am train) Students will be dismissed when the train arrives at Ringwood Station (scheduled to arrive at 3:01pm). Students will need their own Myki card to catch the train. Students MUST travel tap on and students seen fare evading will likely be banned from future city excursions. Students will have the opportunity to purchase food/drink (with their own money) during this excursion. |
9Life students will enjoy a day out in the Dandenong Ranges including a train ride on the Puffing Billy from Belgrave to Lakeside. Students will learn about the traditional owners of the land and will discover local flora and fauna. After Puffing Billy, students will have time to grab some lunch before going on a short hike. Students will need to wear their sports uniform and bring along with them snacks, water bottle and a myki card to catch the train. Students MUST tap on to use the train from Heathmont to Belgrave. If students do not, they will likely miss out on future 9life excursions.
Students will be asked to meet at Heathmont Station at 9am sharp to catch the train to Belgrave. Students will then walk to the Puffing Billy station. Students will be dismissed from Belgrave station at 3.15pm to go in their respective directions home. Staff will also be travelling back to Heathmont station.
Selected students will be participating in the School Sport Victoria, Mullum Division, Year 7 Boys/Mixed Football (Australian Rules) competition. |
Students will travel by bus to the venue. We understand that School start time is 9am however due to travelling to venues and arriving on time for the competition we need to leave Heathmont College between 8.50am and 9am Students are required to be at School between 8.30am and 8.40am to ensure they are marked as present and obtain any uniform required for the day and ensure a prompt leaving time. Students are advised to bring lunch and drinks as there is no guarantee that canteen facilities will be available on the day. Please ensure you are prepared for all weather conditions. Students may be required to attend period 5 classes, depending on the fixture and time of return to Heathmont College. Students are not required at school on this day.

This year, every Monday lunch time in the wellbeing lounge will be Mindfulness Mondays. This is a chance for students to unwind quietly with colouring, drawing and puzzles. The last ten minutes will include a mindfulness meditation to help reset before class.
If you are looking for a quiet place on a Monday lunchtime, join us in the Wellbeing lounge for Mindfulness Mondays.
The Instrumental Music and VCE Music students are invited to perform a variety of solo, and group works for their friends, family and local community. This is the culmination of all of their hard work throughout the first half of the year. This will also be a chance for the VCE music students to showcase what they have been working on. The themes for this performance night is film music. This means any music track and song that has been played in any movie! |
