Additional event details: Students will travel by bus to the venue. We understand that School start time is 9am however due to travelling to venues and arriving on time for the competition we need to leave Heathmont College between 8.50am and 9am Students are required to be at School between 8.30am and 8.40am to ensure they are marked as present and obtain any uniform required for the day and ensure a prompt leaving time. Day one of our Year 12 Step program will be taking place at Swinburne University of Technology. Students will depart from Heathmont College and travel by to bus to Swinburne University’s Hawthorn Campus. Here we will conduct our ‘Welcome to Year 12’ session which will cover the VCE and VCE-VM policies and what to expect from their final year of secondary schooling. Students will have the opportunity to choose 2 workshops focused on a range of career options. There will be an information session about Swinburne’s Early Entry program for 2027 and a tour of the campus. Students are encouraged to bring a bottle of water and a snack for morning tea. They will have the option to purchase food and drinks from Swinburne’s cafeteria. Staff and students will walk together to get lunch at the near-by cafés in Hawthorn. Alternatively, students can bring lunch from home. We will travel by bus back to Heathmont College to be dismissed at 3pm. |
Therapeutic group for junior students experiencing symptoms of anxiety. The group is designed to get students to explore the concept of anxiety, why we have it, what it is good for and how to manage it when it becomes overwhelming. |
