The Student Leadership Outdoor Adventure Camp is an opportunity for students who demonstrate leadership qualities to improve student connections to the College and their peers. There will be a focus on building resilience in the students, developing relationships and working collaboratively in a variety of team roles as a team member and leader, supporting other team members. This camp will be for students involved in or interested in student leadership from years 7 to 10.
Through developing integrated outdoor education experiences, Rubicon Outdoor School empowers young people to develop the skills for positive growth. This learning fosters a deeper understanding of self and others, supported by the skills to contribute to a positive community and sustainable environment. Through this collaboration, students are provided with the opportunity to engage in meaningful learning in alternative contexts. In teaching students in natural environments and providing opportunities for challenge, we promote high levels of student engagement.
Coaches will provide travel to and from the camp, and additional cars will be present, driven by teachers, for transportation in the case of extenuating circumstances and only with full permission of parents/guardians.
Please ensure you have a packed lunch for the Monday. We will be stopping at Queens Park in Healesville in the morning briefly on our way to Rubicon Camp.
