The year 8 outdoor adventure camp provides an opportunity for students to spend time in the natural environment, camping in tents, completing group activities to build belonging and teamwork, and participating in rafting, canoeing and bushwalking. This will take place at Lake Eildon and will be supported by specially trained outdoor education staff – Bindaree Outdoor Education.

Students will be required to set up their tents and camp on day one of the camp. The site of these camps will be the Eildon Caravan Park or Jerusalem Creek Campsite 7, depending on the rotation group each student is allocated to.  All campsites are equipped with toilet facilities. The Eildon caravan park is further equipped with shower facilities and much more.  Students will be rafting to the Breeze Caravan Park, bushwalking to the Jerusalem Creek Campsite and canoeing, completing group initiatives from the Eildon Caravan Park.  Students will be required to pack up their tents and camping equipment at the conclusion of the stay.

Coaches will provide travel to and from the camp, and additional cars will be present, driven by teachers, for transportation in the case of extentuating circumstances and only with full permission of parents/guardians.

Camp attendees are encouraged to conduct a RAT on the morning of camp departure, and record a negative result, to come on the camp.  If a student is feeling unwell on camp, parents will be contacted and they may be required to pick their child up.
